Lasipalatsikortteli
Lasipalatsikortteli is an iconic part of the urban landscape in Helsinki. Built in the 1930’s, the Lasipalatsi Quarter combines commerce with entertainment and culture. Art, cinema, food, shopping and epic architecture, all in one beautiful block.
Form Union designed the brand concept and the brand visuals for Lasipalatsikortteli. The new brand concept was then implemented on the website design and social media strategy, as well as all marketing procedures online and off line.

The history of the Lasipalatsi quarter begins in 1830 and took its current shape in 1936, when the functionalist-style Lasipalatsi building was completed. Some 80 years later, the art museum Amos Rex opened its doors on underground. The hills on the Lasipalatsi Square serve as the museum’s ceiling windows and have become a widely documented destination. The brand promise of Lasipalatsikortteli is ”The best of times, all the time”. Everything that makes life enjoyable is found here.

The visual identity was built on a minimalistic bilingual name logo shaped as a square. The logo functions as a key brand element, in combination with the rich brand images by photographer Sofia Okkonen. We also commissioned a series of street photographies by Ilkka Kärkkäinen.

Since 2023, we have designed the event identities for Lasipalatsikortteli’s events. The event designs reflect the brand identity itself: always urban and effortlesly cool. Apart from this we have produced a wide range of content for Lasipalatsikortteli’s social media platforms, as well as coordinating all marketing campaigns as an outsourced marketing service partner.
The event photos are by Ninni West.
