Finnish Craft and Design is the largest craft fair in Europe and a true treasure trove for craft lovers, bursting with creativity, color, and inspiration. For the brand renewal, we wanted to capture the world in the eyes of a craft enthusiast.
Finnish Craft and Design Fair is the most anticipated craft and design event of the year within Finland. From timeless traditions to modern design, it brings together the best of Finnish craftsmanship in one unforgettable fair. We wanted to capture the joy and fulfillment of crafting in the brand work and explore the possibilities of different techniques in the visuals.
In the era of “everything AI”, the concept choice for Finnish Craft and Design was obvious – everything needed to be genuinely handcrafted and applied by hand. The brand concept is a collaboration between Form Union and art director Pauliina Vesterinen from design agency Pauhaus. For the first two annual identities, we teamed up with photographer Outi Törmälä and designer Marjo Haapasalo to bring forward the joy of self expression only crafting can bring. The brand was launched at the fair in 2024, immersing the visitors in a playful bubble of creative glee.
